A visit to Suffolk Archives.
Beer money!
On June the 3rd, Bridget, Cathy, Stephen and Ian from the FOWC spent a day at the Suffolk Archives in Ipswich looking at documents relating to the church and village. It was exhausting but interesting on so many levels. The reference to our church’s Saxon tower was much mentioned. Other pieces of interest were the tithe maps and articles on the Tithe Wars of 1930, which was much reported nationally. They enjoyed it so much they’re going again!
Stephen and Cathy pore over some documents.
